From a Lima, Oh newspaper dated Tuesday, July 3, 1923: Joshua Crisenbery, 38, farmer, of near Elida, dropped dead Monday afternoon while working in a hay field at his farm. Heart disease is believed to have been the cause. Crisenbery was driving a wagon with a hay loader attached. His son, Lowell Crisenbery, waswalking behind the loader. He saw his father fall backward on the hay and when he did not rise,rushed to his aid. Russell Morgan, working in another part of the field, also saw Crisenbery fall. Coroner Smith was called and pronounced death due to heart disease.Crisenbery is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters and four brothers, John Crisenbery, Van Wert; Alexander, Warren, O. Melvin; Rosco, Lima, ex-policeman; four sisters, Mrs. J. A. Williamson, Spencerville; Mrs. Bert Bowman, Jackson, Mich.; Mrs. Myrtle Larr, Markle, Ind; Mrs. Oscar Huriff, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the U. B. church, Elida. The Rev. Boroff will officiate. Burial will be at Green LUawn. (sp. Greenlawn)
